Why does Cookie API need my Bot’s Token?
Section titled “Why does Cookie API need my Bot’s Token?”Cookie API needs your bot’s token for tasks such as retrieving messages from a specified channel via the Transcript Endpoint. To accomplish this, temporary access to your Discord bot is necessary, as the process involves interacting directly with Discord’s servers. Additionally, the token is used to authenticate requests, allowing us to gather relevant details like channel names, server names, and other essential information. Rest assured, this access is strictly temporary and used solely for these specific functions.
How can I include my Bot Token in my requests?
Section titled “How can I include my Bot Token in my requests?”For endpoints that interact with the Discord API, you can provide your bot token in three ways:
Option 1: Direct Token
Section titled “Option 1: Direct Token”Provide your bot token directly in the request body:

Section titled “Option 2: Use Placeholder Variables”Register your bot token on the dashboard, then use a placeholder variable in your requests:

Setting a default bot: Click the default button next to any bot on the dashboard to automatically use it when calling endpoints with {BOT_TOKEN} or {TOKEN_SECRET}.
Option 3: Specify by Bot ID
Section titled “Option 3: Specify by Bot ID”Replace the bot_token parameter with bot_id to select a specific bot:
