Roblox Oauth2 Setup Guide

1. Create an app in Roblox Creator hub.

   Attention

   You must be ID verified to register and publish OAuth 2.0 apps on Roblox. More info: here

   

2. Copy Client ID and Secret, afterwards click Continue to Edit

   

3. In Botghosts’ API Request block we will add this application into application database with Add a Application endpoint

   1. We will fill the copied credentials from step 2 into Request Body

      

   2. In Test request tab we will click on Test Request button.

      

      Afterwards in response. We will copy value of example_authorization_url, which acts as authorization link for users to verify through. And we will also copy value of redirect_url.

4. Back in Roblox Creator Hub in your App, Click on Edit button,

   1. In Permissions category, click on search scopes and select first one openid

      

   2. In Redirect URLs category, there in the blank coloumn paste the value of redirect_url.

      

5. You have now sucessfully setted up Roblox Oauth2 login in Botghost.

Keep In Mind

Your unpublished app will let you only verify up to 10 unique users. For more, Submit your app for review and publish to make it available to users in Roblox Creator hub.
