Changelog 01.02.2026

Today we are releasing a major update to the Minecraft verification. We changed how users can verify. It now works the like this:

1. User connects to mc.cookie-api.com or verify.cookie-api.com or your custom domain
2. User gets kicked instantly with their verification code
3. You can keep your current setup as is. Nothing needs to be modified here.

We made this change because cross version comparability is way more reliable this way. In addition it saves us resources as hosting a full Minecraft server for someone joining it for 5 seconds is not worth it. In addition since no world is being loaded here this works very well on low end devices like phones.
